The tunnel boring machine has been inaugurated, Saint Barbara statues have been installed, and excavation has begun... a recap of the latest key milestones on this project.

Latest updates on Line C of the Toulouse Metro

At the Colomiers Gare shaft, Father Pascal christened the tunnel boring machine, Jeanne Marvig, in the presence of all the consortium teams. The machine is now ready to cover the 3.9 km distance to the Laporte Shaft, where it will complete its journey.

Jeanne Marvig has begun excavating a section of Line C and will progress at an average speed of 12 meters per day, passing through the stations of Colomiers Gare, Fontaine Lumineuse, and Airbus Saint-Martin.

At the Daturas Workshop Shaft site, two Saint Barbara statues, created by sculptors Elke Montreal and Nicolas Viry, have been installed.

At the La Vache station, the cutting wheel of the tunnel boring machine Berthe du Puybusque has been lowered, and assembly is ongoing. This machine will excavate a 2.5 km section between the La Vache and Pont Jumeaux stations. It will then be disassembled and reassembled to continue its journey between the La Vache and Raisin stations, covering an additional 2.1 km.
