Our Eiffage Génie Civil teams built the cofferdams using 18 m-high sheet piling anchored 6 m into the river bed to create the two dry piers, over 15 m high.
Environmental protection measures were put in place, in particular access to the two piers via a temporary boom, which had less impact than a dyke, in order to preserve the protected nature reserve, which is home to breeding grounds for aquatic fauna and a fish migration route.
This project was carried out in synergy with other Eiffage Group business lines: Eiffage Métal for the steel structure and anchoring using a pulley system, the Biep design office for the structural studies of the structures and Eiffage Fondations for the piles.
Congratulations to the teams led by Nicolas Semmer, project director, on the progress of this project!
Thanks to Bertrand Borde, Aymeric Rodriguez and Christophe Spangenberger for taking part in this video!
