Penly EPR2 reactors
This large-scale project involves the construction of the first two EPR2 reactors at Penly, including 69 structures. This contract showcases Eiffage Group's ability to lead major projects and support major industrial players in addressing decarbonization and energy sovereignty challenges in France.
A large-scale construction site
The civil engineering work will include:
- Construction of the reactor buildings (each a dome 70 metres high and 50 metres in diameter) and machine rooms.
- All-trades design and build of a 15,000 m2, six-floor operations centre.

Support for local employment and professional integration
With this project, Eiffage is committed to supporting the local economy and jobs and to providing social employment. At its height, this project will involve 4,000 people, and will generate 1.3 million working hours of social employment and jobs for people with disabilities. In cooperation with project stakeholders, the Group will also be developing training courses essential to revitalising the French nuclear industry.
This new contract demonstrates the Group’s ability to manage major projects and support large industry in meeting the challenges of decarbonisation and energy sovereignty in France.
